Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting a Permanent Approved Electrician for nationwide commercial fit-out projects based from Burnley. The role offers a 40-hour week with a starting salary around £45k, plus earnings potential through overtime, bonuses, and weekend work.

You will work on diverse retail and commercial sites across the UK, with paid accommodation and meal allowances when traveling. A strong safety and compliance focus is essential, with progression opportunities into supervising

Qualifications

• Gold JIB card required.
• BS 7671 18th Edition.
• Inspection & Testing Qualification.
• IPAF beneficial but not essential.
• Experience in commercial/industrial projects such as offices, retail or fit-out works.
• Strong compliance and HSE focus on safety and correct electrical standards.
• Full UK Driving Licence with travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commercial fit-out electrical installations across the UK.
• Inspect & Test electrical installations and sign off work.
• Work in live environments with emphasis on safety and customer service.
• Collaborate with electricians on site and management for project reports and sign-offs.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and HSE guidelines.

Permanent Approved Electrician

Meridian are working with a Burnley-based company that cover MEP fit-out projects across the UK and are growing their team of permanent Electricians in an exciting period of growth. They specialise in commercial fit-out projects, winning lots of retail projects with major names and upcoming work already secured. If you're an ambitious Electrician looking for a permanent role with a wide variety of projects offering great earning potential, then this role is perfect for you!

Requirements for this role:

• Previous experience in commercial and industrial projects such as offices, retail, commercial building fit outs etc.
• Must have a strong compliance and HSE focus, prioritising safety and correct standards of Electrical installation
• Full, UK Driving Licence (there will be travel involved in this role)
• Ability to work nationwide

Duties include (but are not exclusive to):

• Commercial fit out installations in various enviroments across the UK
• Ability to safely Inspect & Test electrical installations and sign off work
• Working at a fast pace, sometimes in live, working environments so a focus on customer-service and Health & Safety is imperative
• Working closely with Electricians on site as well as management teams to provide technical support on project reports and sign-offs
• Keeping up to date with industry regulations and HSE governing bodies to ensure compliance and accurate Inspection & Testing reports
