Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting a Permanent Electrician to join a growing M&E contractor. You will install, inspect, test and maintain electrical building services on commercial and industrial projects across the UK, with nationwide travel and site work.

Facilities include a company van with fuel card, accommodation when away, pension, health insurance and ongoing training. Strong 18th Edition and JIB card holders encouraged to apply; driving licence essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Gold JIB Card and 18th Edition BS 7671.
• 2391 Testing Qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required for nationwide travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, Inspect & Test electrical building services on commercial/industrial projects.
• Sign off electrical work to a high standard.
• Collaborate with supervision and management for project sign-offs.

• Previous experience 1st and 2nd fixing commercial and industrial projects such as offices, retail, fit outs etc.
• Full UK Driving Licence (there will be travel involved in this role)
• Ability to work nationwide

Duties include (but are not exclusive to):

• Helping to install, Inspect & Test, and maintain Electrical building services on commercial projects across the UK
• Ability to safely sign off Electrical work to a high standard
• Work closely with supervisory and management staff to help project sign offs by assisting with the end of project reports
• Working closely with Electricians on site as well as management teams to provide technical support on compliance, reports, and project paperwork
• Keeping up to date with industry regulations and HSE governing bodies to ensure compliance and
