Job summary

Siemens Mobility is hiring an E&P Approved Electrician to join the Rail Infrastructure team. The role involves installing, testing, and certifying electrical systems across UK sites and travel to project locations as required.

You’ll work to BS7671 standards and support the development of apprentices and new team members. Ideal candidates hold an Electrical Apprenticeship, Level 3 NVQ, 18th Edition, and ECS Gold Card, with City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 and hands-on experience testing

Qualifications

• Completed Electrical Apprenticeship and Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Systems.
• 18th Edition BS7671 qualification.
• ECS Gold Card – Approved Electrician.
• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395.
• Experience testing electrical installations.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Installing, testing and certifying electrical systems in accordance with project designs and BS7671.
• Collaborating with project teams to deliver installations safely and on time.
• Verifying installations against electrical drawings and designs.
• Promoting Siemens’ Zero Harm culture and supporting apprentices.
• Travelling to UK project sites as required.

Our Low Voltage (LV) Division delivers critical electrical infrastructure projects across the UK’s railway network. As an E&P Approved Electrician, you’ll become part of a highly skilled team working on prestigious rail projects, helping to deliver safe, reliable and innovative electrical systems.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced E&P Approved Electrician to join our Rail Infrastructure team. This role requires frequent travel from UK sites.

You’ll make a difference by

• Installing, testing and certifying electrical systems in accordance with project designs, drawings and BS7671 standards.
• Working collaboratively with project teams to deliver high-quality installations safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
• Verifying installations against electrical drawings and designs.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Must haves:

• Completed Electrical Apprenticeship and Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Systems.
