East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an Apprenticeships and Widening Participation Coordinator to support the Apprenticeships and Widening Participation Lead in increasing knowledge and participation across the Trust.
You will work with service managers and staff to facilitate apprenticeship opportunities, build networks with providers, and help deliver education and workforce strategies, while benefiting from NHS staff development opportunities and on-site facilities.
The Apprenticeships and Widening Participation Coordinator supports the Apprenticeships and Widening Participation Lead to increase the knowledge and understanding of apprenticeships and widening participation in the Trust. Supporting workforce development and quality programmes effectively using the apprenticeship levy.
Working with all service managers and Trust employees to facilitate opportunities to undertake a wide range of professional and academic apprenticeship in support of role development and career progression for employees working at all levels across the Trust.
Working across the Trust to support and develop widening participation for young people with work experience, and career information.
Building networks and positive relationships with training providers, and other external stakeholders to ensure quality, effective and efficient programme provision. Share best practice for the provision of viable and consistent opportunities to access apprenticeship programmes and widening participation opportunities across the Trust. This includes upskilling through functional skills and ensuring that new and existing employees are given the opportunity to be developed through apprenticeship programmes and widening participation opportunities.
Carry out any relevant administrative tasks which contribute towards delivering the Trust’s Education & Workforce strategies as well as those relating to Divisional Business Work plans and policies.
