Job description

We are excited to support our client in sourcing an Apprenticeship Support Coach to join their team. This is a home-based position focused on supporting apprentices throughout their learning journey.

They identified a gap in practical skills development in training and apprenticeships, leading to the creation of this organisation. Their mission is to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions for businesses, prioritising learner experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support learners with their progress and administration, conducting regular progress reviews to ensure they stay on track.
  2. Manage and update learner records and data via the e-portfolio system, including attendance, assessment planning, evidence collection, learning and assessment, functional skills progress, EPA training, timetables, and supporting off-the-job training.
  3. Collaborate with the Partnership Account Team to build and maintain employer relationships, ensuring learner progress aligns with the Delivery Model.
  4. Conduct effective exit reviews to promote skill development and personal growth.
  5. Provide Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG), referring learners to relevant agencies and advocating on their behalf as needed.
  6. Ensure learner records comply with GDPR regulations.
  7. Coordinate additional support with tutors as necessary.
  8. Act as the key contact for learners regarding schedule changes.
  9. Promote initiatives such as 'Apprentice of the Month' and 'Theme of the Month.'
  10. Raise awareness on government strategies for safeguarding and the Prevent Duty, reporting concerns appropriately.
  11. Foster inclusive learning environments, celebrating diversity and providing sufficient support to all learners.
  12. Adjust priorities between enrolments and reviews based on business needs.
  13. Ensure compliance with Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, Safeguarding, and welfare policies.
  14. Participate in team and company meetings.

  • Previous experience working within apprenticeships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Assertiveness and composure under pressure.
  • Active listening and questioning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • Capability to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Proficient in report writing, record-keeping, and IT skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
