Higher Apprenticeship Development Coach

Role Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to guide and support learners through their apprenticeships, coaching them in the skills and behaviors required for school-based apprenticeships up to level 6. The role involves blended learning, including face-to-face and online engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Complete progress reviews with learners and employers, ensuring compliance with funding rules.
  2. Review learners' work to ensure it meets apprenticeship standards.
  3. Maintain accurate learner records and securely store relevant documents.
  4. Support learners in capturing and uploading evidence of learning monthly.
  5. Prepare learners for End Point Assessment.
  6. Support quality assurance activities and review learner performance against targets.
  7. Contribute to quality improvement and self-assessment processes.
  8. Engage in professional development to stay current with apprenticeship standards.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Experience in leadership and management within an educational setting, with a minimum of Level 5 qualification in School Business Management.
  2. Level 3 Coaching qualification (preferred) or willingness to obtain.
  3. Strong knowledge of coaching techniques to motivate disengaged learners.
  4. Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  5. Ability to promote a culture of learning and excellence aligned with Serco’s values.
  6. Effective communication skills and ability to build professional relationships.
  7. Teamwork skills and commitment to continuous improvement.
