Job summary

The South Hampshire College Group is seeking an Apprenticeship Skills Advisor to support learners, employers and curriculum teams within its Apprenticeships provision. You will conduct progress reviews, monitor development and help apprentices stay on track to achieve qualifications.

This role emphasises holistic learner support, wellbeing and career progression, embedding British Values, Prevent, safeguarding and Inclusion throughout the apprenticeship journey.

Qualifications

• Coaching, mentoring or reviewing learners in an educational, training or workplace environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles.
• Experience working in apprenticeships or work-based learning.
• Knowledge of Ofsted requirements relating to personal development and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Conducting workplace progress reviews with apprentices and employers.
• Monitoring learner progress, wellbeing and engagement.
• Providing careers information, advice and guidance to support long-term career aspirations.
• Encouraging participation in skills competitions, enrichment opportunities and professional development activities.
• Maintaining accurate learner records in line with funding and regulatory requirements.
• Promoting safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and EDI across all apprenticeship programmes.
