Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd. is seeking an Apprenticeship Skills Co-ordinator to support trainees in the North East, delivering classroom and practical training for technical construction qualifications. You will plan, assess, and ensure apprentices gain maximum progression in the industry.

The role involves coordinating with employers, monitoring progress, and promoting safe working practices within a live construction setting. DBS on update service is required.

Are you an experienced construction professional looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?

About the Role

You’ll join a further education provider in the North East, supporting apprentices working towards their technical construction qualifications and their progression in the industry.

You’ll deliver training both in the classroom and in a practical setting, plan and assess learning, and work alongside employers to make sure apprentices get the most from their programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging and high-quality training across technical construction apprenticeship programmes.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 3 qualification in a technical construction trade (or equivalent)
• Industry experience within the construction sector
• Good communication and organisational skills
• An enhanced DBS on the update service

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching or assessing qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of delivering apprenticeship training
