Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is recruiting a Construction Technician to support busy construction workshops at a further education provider. You will help ensure practical sessions are well prepared, resourced and safe, working alongside the teaching team to enable learners to develop their trade skills.

Your duties include preparing, setting up and dismantling tools and materials, maintaining workshop machinery, and assisting staff during sessions while upholding health and safety standards across

Qualifications

• A relevant vocational qualification in a recognised construction trade.
• Practical skills and sound knowledge of construction tools, equipment and materials.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and to deadlines.

As a Construction Technician, you'll support the smooth running of busy construction workshops at a further education provider, making sure practical sessions are well prepared, well resourced and safe.

Working alongside the teaching team, you'll prepare equipment and materials ahead of lessons, keep machinery in good working order and assist staff during practical sessions so learners can focus on developing their trade skills.
