Job summary

Somerset Skills & Learning is seeking a part-time Recruitment and Onboarding Officer in Bridgwater. You will drive learner recruitment, onboarding, and CIAG, building strong relationships with schools, partners, employers and stakeholders to ensure a smooth learner journey.

You will promote apprenticeship opportunities, manage vacancies via the Digital Apprenticeship Service, and support learners through enrolment and onboarding, contributing to positive regional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruitment and onboarding of learners.
• Ability to build relationships with schools, referral partners, employers.
• Provide Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG).
• Experience with school engagement, attending visits, careers fairs.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and recruit learners to SS&L programmes by building relationships with schools, referral partners, employers and stakeholders.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding of apprenticeship learners and match candidates with vacancies.
• Manage apprenticeship vacancies through the Digital Apprenticeship Service and keep employers informed.
• Attend school visits, careers fairs and community events to raise awareness of learning opportunities.
• Support learners through enrolment and onboarding, ensuring a positive learner journey.
