Job summary

Transport for London is seeking an Apprenticeship Development Manager (12-month FTC) to oversee the end-to-end apprenticeship journey, including induction, progress monitoring and successful roll-off. You will maintain employer provider status and ensure compliance with ESFA rules, Ofsted requirements and TfL quality standards.

The role requires leadership of apprentices across operations, coordinating placements with trainers and assessors, and driving delivery excellence within a hybrid

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Safeguarding training (Level 2 minimum).
• In depth knowledge of apprenticeship delivery as an Employer Provider.
• Strong understanding of DfE funding rules, Ofsted inspection framework and awarding body requirements.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, PREVENT, equality, diversity and health & safety in a learner environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with quality standards focus aligned to audit and compliance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end apprenticeship journey including induction, progress monitoring and roll-off.
• Monitor progress against apprenticeship delivery plans and escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate placements with placement managers, trainers and assessors to support learning.
• Develop apprenticeship scheme plans aligned with changes in standards and integrate training.
• Support onboarding teams to ensure accurate enrolment and timely documentation.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure consistent programme delivery and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with funding rules, Ofsted requirements and TfL quality processes.
