Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is offering a 40-month fixed-term apprenticeship for an Apprentice Therapeutic Radiographer. The role is based at Poole Hospital with a satellite centre in Dorset and includes a 37.5 hour work week and a structured study time arrangement to achieve a BSc in Therapeutic Radiography.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team, undergo university-led academic study, and gain hands-on clinical experience within the UHD Radiotherapy Service

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 4/C or equivalent.
• Experience in a care setting is desirable for the apprenticeship.
• Ability to learn and develop as part of a Clinical Learning Facilitator team.

Responsibilities

• Apprentices will study 7.5 hours per week and train to become a Therapeutic Radiographer.
• Support the radiotherapy service with clinical and administrative tasks as required.
