Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapeutic Radiographer Apprentice to train through a degree apprenticeship and gain HCPC registration. You’ll work in the Radiotherapy team, delivering patient-centred care under supervision while completing university study.

The program runs for three years, with four days on-site work and one protected study day, developing treatment planning, safety, and professional skills within a multidisciplinary cancer team.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Willingness to undertake the degree apprenticeship.
• GCSE English and Maths (4+).
• Level 3 qualification or equivalent for HEI entry.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Therapeutic Radiographer Degree Apprenticeship with clinical training.
• Provide safe, effective and compassionate patient care under supervision.
• Assist in planning and delivering radiotherapy treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and participate in QA.
