Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Therapeutic Radiographer to join the Radiotherapy team at Poole Hospital. The role involves rotation between Poole and Dorchester, with opportunities for ongoing education and conference participation.

You will work within a modern service with Linacs, CT scanners, SGRT and Eclipse/Mosaiq systems. Essential qualifications include DCR(T)/BSc Hons Radiotherapy and HCPC registration.

Qualifications

• DCR(T)/BSc Hons Radiotherapy required.
• HCPC registration as Therapeutic Radiographer.
• Experience with radiotherapy equipment and patient care in healthcare settings.
• Ability to deliver patient care and advice to radiotherapy patients.
• Desirable experience with external partners in patient support/education.
• Setup of radiotherapy techniques using a linac and imaging functions.
• Experience with record and verify systems.
• Good IT skills and strong organisational/time management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Desirable familiarity with treatment planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Rotates between Poole main unit and satellite Dorchester unit.
• Works within the department's four-tier radiographer structure at UHD.
• Contributes to patient care and education within radiotherapy services.
