Job summary

The Interceptor Pub in West Bromwich is offering an apprenticeship as Apprentice Team Leader with Hungry Horse. You will lead front of house teams, ensure staff deliver a 5* experience, and bring creativity to events from quizzes to music evenings.

This paid apprenticeship includes work-based training through Lifetime Training, mentoring in the workplace, and the chance to gain a Hospitality Supervisor level 3 qualification while you train, with shifts often evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience working in hospitality environments and leading a team is advantageous.
• Ability to organise tasks, manage shifts and maintain service standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a heartfelt and memorable experience each and every time they visit.
• Deputise for the management team and resolve any issues that arise in their absence.
• Help organise and coordinate the team during a busy shift, making sure everything runs like clockwork.
• Make sure the bar is always safe, legal, and clean, and any issues are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible.

What You'll Do

As an Apprentice Team Leader with Hungry Horse, your motivational skills and passion for customer care make you the perfect person to lead our front of house teams. You'll ensure that each team member knows their stuff and can wow customers with a 5* experience. And it doesn't stop with food and drink! From quizzes to music evenings - your creativity and organisational skills can bring communities closer together.

As an Apprentice Team Leader you will...

What your apprenticeship includes:

• You won't need to attend college, our apprenticeships are delivered through work-based training which includes a mixture of face-to-face sessions and remote Team calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You will also have a mentor within the workplace to support you
• Obtain Functional Skills in English and maths, with support tailored to your needs (if you don't already have GCSEs or equivalents)
• Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach including feedback sessions.
