Job summary

Greene King is seeking an Apprentice Team Leader for its Community Pubs brand. You will lead front of house teams, coach staff, and ensure every guest enjoys a warm, memorable visit.

The role emphasises teamwork, safety, and delivering genuine hospitality in a lively pub environment. Training is work-based with a mentor; you’ll gain English and Maths Functional Skills and complete a comprehensive apprenticeship without a college requirement.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship pathway with on-job training and remote coaching.
• Functional Skills in English and Maths obtained during the apprenticeship.
• No college requirement; training delivered through work-based sessions and mentor support.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a memorable experience on every visit.
• Deputise for the management team and resolve issues in their absence.
• Help organise and coordinate the team during busy shifts for smooth operations.
• Ensure the bar area is safe, legal, and clean with swift issue resolution.
• Model excellent service and foster a welcoming atmosphere for customers.

• Provide customers with a heartfelt and memorable experience each and every time they visit.
• Deputise for the management team and resolve any issues that arise in their absence.

• Make sure the bar is always safe, legal, and clean, and any issues are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible.

• You won't need to attend college, our apprenticeships are delivered through work-based training which includes a mixture of face-to-face sessions and remote Team calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You will also have a mentor within the workplace to support you.
• Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths, with support tailored to your needs (if you don't already have GCSE or equivalents)
• Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach including feedback sessions.
