Job summary

Greene King is offering an Apprenticeship for a Kitchen Team Leader at our pubs. The role focuses on leading front-of-house teams, ensuring high standards of food and service, and delivering memorable customer experiences.

You’ll work through a work-based training model with a mentor, while developing leadership and organisational skills and engaging with customers in a lively pub environment. Apprenticeships are delivered on the job, with regular coaching, and include Functional Skills in

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present food to brand standards, ensuring every dish is served with pride.
• Support and guide the kitchen team, organising service and maintaining high performance during busy shifts.
• Deputise for the Kitchen Manager or senior chefs as required to keep service running smoothly.
• Ensure all food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness standards are met.
• Monitor stock levels, food preparation, and kitchen organisation for efficient service.

As an Apprentice Kitchen Team Leader, you will...

• Prepare, cook, and present food to brand standards, ensuring every dish is served with pride.

What your apprenticeship includes:

• You won't need to attend college, our apprenticeships are delivered through work-based training which includes a mixture of face-to-face sessions and remote Team calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks.
• You will also have a mentor within the workplace to support you.
• Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths, with support tailored to your needs (if you don't already have GCSE or equivalents)
• Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach including feedback sessions.
