Job summary

All Saints Church of England Academy is seeking an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to support teaching across lessons and sessions. The role focuses on individual and group learning, adapting activities to pupil responses, promoting inclusion, and recording progress.

Training is through a Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship delivered by LMP Group, with pupil welfare and resource preparation included. Enhanced DBS check is required; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons with the teacher, adjusting activities to pupil responses.
• Support pupils during independent and group work, keeping them on task.
• Contribute to curriculum and lesson planning, delivery and evaluation.
• Monitor individual and group progress and share findings with the teacher.
• Assist pupil assessment through observation, recording progress information.
• Promote inclusion, cooperation, independence and self-esteem.
• Support pupils to develop communication skills and use ICT.
• Assist with whole-class activities for short periods (e.g., story reading).
• Prepare teaching aids and resources; manage learning environment.
