Job summary

Saltaire Primary School is recruiting a Level 3 Apprentice Teaching Assistant. The role is term-time only and includes one training day per week with Birth to 19 Apprenticeship Academy, plus support from a mentor.

• Support pupils with SEND including cognition and learning, ASD, SEMH and speech and language needs
• Adapt activities and resources to build independence
• Record pupil progress and support assessment and feedback to the teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND and help deliver personalised provision and interventions
• Assist with safeguarding and creating a safe, inclusive classroom environment
• Supervise pupils during breaks and school trips and support emotional regulation and behaviour plans
