Skilled Careers in Maidstone is seeking an Apprentice Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. You will learn recruitment fundamentals, build candidate relationships and support consultants on live vacancies while gaining industry knowledge in construction, engineering and property sectors.

Initially, you will focus on candidate relationships and outbound activity, with full training, guidance from senior colleagues and a clear path to progression within a supportive environment.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth across our client base, we are looking for our next Apprentice Recruiter to join the team.

Working alongside an experienced Recruitment Consultant you will play an important role in supporting our recruitment activity while developing your knowledge of the construction sector and learning the fundamentals of recruitment from the ground up.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in recruitment, with full training and support provided.

The Role:

Initially, your focus will be on building strong relationships with candidates and supporting our existing recruitment activity.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and developing relationships with candidates already working with or that have express interest in working with Skilled Careers through regular calls and targeted email campaigns.
• Speaking with candidates to understand their experience, career aspirations, availability and requirements to ensure we have an accurate understanding of what they are looking for.
• Identifying and engaging with new candidates who could be suitable for current and future opportunities.
• Supporting Recruitment Consultants with live vacancies and ongoing recruitment campaigns.
• Maintaining accurate candidate records and ensuring our database remains up to date.
• Developing your knowledge of the construction, engineering and property sectors.
• Learning how to identify suitable candidates and match them with the right opportunities.
• Progressively developing your skills to manage the end-to-end recruitment process and build your own client and candidate relationships.

About you:

Previous recruitment experience is not required. We're interested in your attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn.

The role is highly phone-based, so confidence, energy and a genuine enjoyment of speaking to people are essential.
