An opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Receptionist to join the Outpatients Reception Team at the Queen Victoria Hospital (QVH). This is an 18-month fixed-term position (Monday to Friday), based on-site, and includes working towards the completion of an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, the successful candidate must have the right to reside in the UK for at least 3 years and permission to stay for the entire duration of the apprenticeship (18 months).
As a member of the QVH Outpatients Reception Team, you will often be the first person patients meet when they arrive for their appointment and will need to provide a friendly and courteous service. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are essential for this role.

Your role will involve working in QVH's Main Outpatients Department and Corneo Plastics Unit, as well as covering our virtual appointment system, Attend Anywhere. Responsibilities include booking follow-up appointments, answering telephone queries, and responding to emails in the team's shared inbox.
The reception areas are fast-paced, so you will need to work well in a busy environment, prioritize your workload, and be flexible to accommodate ad-hoc requests.
