Job summary

GAP Group is offering a 3-year Plant Mechanic Apprenticeship in the United Kingdom. You will earn £16,224 per year if under 18, or £17,860 per year if over 18, while you learn on the job alongside expert fitters toward a nationally recognised qualification.

You will service, maintain and repair plant machinery, replace components, and develop core engineering skills such as electro hydraulics and computerised control systems in a real workshop environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs 4 or higher or National 4s at passing grade.
• Interest in plant machinery and engineering.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service, maintain and repair a wide range of plant machinery.
• Replace components, check systems and calibrate instruments.
• Develop core engineering skills including electro hydraulics and computerised control systems.
• Work alongside experienced fitters in a busy workshop.
