Job summary

GAP Group Apprenticeships offer an NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance through on-the-job training and college block release. You’ll learn to service and repair machines, replace parts, and calibrate tools while gaining cutting-edge electro-hydraulic and control system knowledge.

The programme starts with salary scales by age (£16,224 under 18; £17,860 over 18) and increases after year 1 as you progress and reach minimum wage milestones.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade C or above is required.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills are essential.
• Keen interest in Plant Technology.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service and repair machines and equipment as part of the NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance programme.
• Assist in replacing parts and checking/calibrating instruments under supervision.
• Study basic engineering concepts and electro-hydraulics and computerised control systems.
