Job summary

Impact Futures in Weston-super-Mare is offering an Apprenticeship as a Pharmacy Assistant. You will support daily pharmacy operations while completing the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant apprenticeship, under supervision of qualified staff.

You will gain hands-on experience in dispensing, stock management, customer service, and NHS prescription processing, with 20% of hours devoted to training and coursework. The role is full-time and apprenticeship wage applies.

Qualifications

• Essential Skills: willingness to learn, attention to detail, teamwork, communication.
• Customer-focused service and advice in pharmacy settings.
• Ability to follow instructions and SOPs and complete apprenticeship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing NHS and private prescriptions under supervision.
• Support stock management, deliveries, and expiry date checks.
• Provide high standards of customer service and OTC guidance.
• Prepare Monitored Dosage Systems (MDS) and assist care homes as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and security in retail and dispensary areas.
