Job summary

Ash Shifa LTD t/a Church Lane Pharmacy is looking for an Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant to join our small, dedicated team. The role offers a pathway to a higher-level qualification and potential full-time employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Training through COREED LIMITED will support your development in pharmacy services. Working week is Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.00pm with a 1 hour lunch break; duration is approximately 1 year 3 months.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths are required.
• Strong communication and customer care skills essential.
• Ability to work in a small team and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing of medication to patients.
• Over-the-counter sales of non-prescription medication.
• Check and monitor prescription slips.
• Health & safety responsibilities.
• Rotation of stock and stock control.
• Data entry relating to medication and use of patient record systems.
• Labelling and dispensing with accuracy.
• Liaison with doctors, surgery and health professionals.
