Job summary

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or higher (or equivalent).
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing medications to patients and assisting with prescriptions.
• Over-the-counter sales of non-prescription medications.
• Check and monitor prescription slips for accuracy.
• Health and safety responsibilities within the shop.
• Stock rotation and label/dose checks.
• Use of patient record systems and smart cards.
• Data entry related to medications.
• Liaise with doctors and health professionals as needed.
• Complete apprenticeship work on time as scheduled.

What You'll Do

Dispensing of medication to patients; Over-the-counter sales of non-prescription medication; Check and monitor prescription slips; Health & safety responsibility; Rotation of stock; Use of patient record systems and use of smart cards; Data entry relating to medication; Labelling and dispensing; Accuracy and attention to detail; Working within a team environment; Liaison with doctors, surgery and health professionals; Completion of apprenticeship work on time.
