Job summary

Euro Commercials Limited, a Mercedes-Benz dealer, is recruiting a Parts Apprentice to join the parts department. You will attend a training course to gain the relevant apprenticeship qualification and support the team in stock control and back-counter parts sales.

The role includes learning all aspects of the parts department, attending college on block release, and ensuring accurate stock entry and good conduct.

Qualifications

• Attend and complete training to gain the apprenticeship qualification.
• Promote the sales of Manufacturer’s parts.
• Complete comprehensive practical training within the dealership.

Responsibilities

• Assist parts personnel in stock control and related paperwork.
• Maintain tidiness of the department.
• Assist in efficient operation of the department.
• Receive, unload, identify and stock goods from suppliers.
• Report discrepancies and damages to seniors.
• Ensure security of company property.
• Maintain a work experience portfolio with the training assessor.
• Attend college on block release, uphold conduct per Mercedes-Benz expectations.
• Carry out additional duties as requested and agreed.
• Learn all aspects of the parts department including trade and back counter sales.

Objectives

To attend and complete the training course to gain the relevant apprenticeship qualification.

To promote the sales of Manufacturers’ parts.

To complete comprehensive practical training within the dealership.

Reporting

The parts apprentice reports to the Parts Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• To assist the parts personnel and department, in the control of all incoming stock, materials, returns and relevant paperwork.
• To maintain general tidiness of department.
• To assist in the efficient operation of the department.
• To receive, unload, identify and accurately check goods from suppliers and enter into stock.
• To report to seniors any discrepancies and damages.
• To ensure the security of all company property.
• To complete and update a work experience portfolio with the cooperation of the training assessor
• To attend college on block release on a regular basis and to ensure a high standard of behaviour, attendance and conduct is maintained in line with Mercedes Benz expectation
• To carry out any additional duties as requested and agreed.
• To ultimately learn all aspects of the parts department to include trade team and back counter parts sales

If they are unable to offer finance, we then seek to introduce you to someone else on our panel. We will usually receive a commission for your introduction. This will be either a fixed fee, or a fixed percentage of the amount that you borrow. This may be linked to the vehicle model you choose.

Mercedes-Benz Finance may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will tell you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receiving this commission. The exact amount of commission will be confirmed before you sign your finance agreement.
