Job summary

Stannah in Gateshead invites applications for an Apprentice Lift Engineer to join the Maintenance and Repair division. You will cover a route across Gateshead and surrounding areas, learning on the job while earning a starting salary of £17,679.

The program lasts 40 months with a mix of practical training, mentoring and distance learning, leading to a Lift Engineering qualification. GCSEs in Maths and English are required, and a driving licence or progress toward one is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCSE Grade 4-9 (A-C) passes in Maths and English.
• Ambition to pursue engineering with practical hands-on learning.
• Interest in electronics and mechanics desirable.

Responsibilities

• Shadow qualified engineers in lift servicing and repair.
• Attend distance learning courses and complete coursework on time.
• Participate in training and mentoring sessions (in person and online).
• Engage in at least 20% off-the-job training.
• Demonstrate aptitudes of a future Stannah Lift Engineer.

Stannah is looking to recruit ambitious Apprentice Lift Engineers to join our Maintenance and Repair division. You will cover a route across Gateshead and the surrounding areas.

This a great opportunity to earn, whilst you learn and continue your education. You will receive a starting salary of £17,679 which will be reviewed regularly based on performance. • Shadow qualified Engineers assisting with the servicing and repair of lifts.
• Attend distance learning courses and complete coursework on time and to a high standard.
• Attend training and mentoring sessions, both in person and online.
• Participate in at least 20% off-the-job training.
• Demonstrate the aptitude and behaviours of a future Stannah Lift Engineer.

Training and Development:

• Duration of 40 months
• A mix of practical, mentoring and structured learning at our training centre.
• You will achieve a qualification in Lift Engineering
• Achieved a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 - 9 (A-C) passes in Maths, English
• Have a keen interest in engineering or practical experience working in a related role.
• A valid driving licence or working towards
