Job summary

GAP Group Limited is hiring an Apprentice Hire & Sales Co-ordinator (HSC) in Leeds. You will be enrolled in a blended learning programme to gain NVQ Level 2 in Hire Desk Operations, combining on-the-job experience with online training.

The two-year apprenticeship covers essential skills to run an effective hire desk, including stock control, purchasing, sales driving and managing customer queries, while coordinating drivers to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Hire Desk Operations through blended learning.
• 4 GCSEs at grade C/D or higher.
• Strong customer service and sales interest.
• Good communication and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and coordinate the hire desk operations, ensuring stock control and purchasing.

About the role

GAP Group Apprentices are a key in ensuring our Depots have the right level of expertise, today, tomorrow and in future.

As an Apprentice Hire & Sales Co-ordinator (HSC) you will be enrolled in a blended learning programme where you will gain NVQ Level 2 in Hire Desk Operations through a mixture of on the job experience and online training through a leading training provider.

Our 2 Year Apprenticeship Programme covers all the essential skills and principles you will need to become a HSC and you'll learn how to run an effective hire desk, including stock control and purchasing, driving sales and managing customer queries effectively whilst co-ordinating drivers to ensure customers' needs are met. You'll also study everything from customer service and sales skills to back office administration and credit control of a high-performing hire desk.

About You

Our Apprenticeship Programme allows you to earn as you learn:

Apprentices under 18 joining our programme you will be required to work a maximum of 39 hours per week with a starting salary of £16,224 annum.

Apprentices over 18 joining our programme you will be required to work a maximum of 42.5 hours per week with a starting salary of £17,860 per annum.

After successful completion of Year 1 you will automatically be placed on the National Minimum Wage rate for your age group.
