Sheffield Forgemasters Engineering Limited are looking for an Apprentice Forge Estimator to complete a Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship and join their team. The successful candidate will support the estimation and process routing of high-value, long lead time components. The candidate must ensure company costs are covered whilst providing competitive pricing.
This is a predominately an office-based role, however; occasional visits to various manufacturing areas will be required to establish best methods of manufacture.
Sheffield Forgemasters is a historic steel-manufacturing company based in Sheffield, founded over 200 years ago. The company specialises in producing large, high-quality steel components that are essential for critical industries such as Defence and Energy. We offer a variety of apprenticeships in Maintenance, Technical, Production and Office Based roles.
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.
