Job summary

A.T. Alarms Ltd is recruiting an apprentice fire and security engineer in Nottingham. You will work with experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms and Entry phones.

The apprenticeship, delivered by Skills for Security, runs with block release at the Walsall centre, progressing to a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician qualification and a future-proof career in the fire and security industry.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence required due to travel expectations.
• Maths and English at grade 4 GCSE (or equivalent) or above.
• Willing and able to pass an enhanced DBS background check.
• Electrics experience or qualifications would be a bonus.
• Desire to learn more about the wider fire and security industry.
• Excellent customer service and teamworking skills.
• Comfortable working at height, due to the nature of the role.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and fault-find on Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms and Entry phones.
• Work alongside experienced engineers to develop practical skills.
• Attend training sessions and complete the Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship.
