Job summary

Skills for Security is seeking two apprentice fire and security engineers to join the October learner launch. You will train hands-on, install and service access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and fire alarms under supervision.

The role includes occasional overnight stays and a requirement to travel with a driving licence. Based at our Walsall centre, the apprenticeship leads to a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician qualification.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS background check required.
• Must hold a driving license due to travel requirements.
• Willing to stay overnight occasionally; overnight pay applies.
• Eager to learn more about the wider fire and security industry.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Experience with power tools, or electrics, is desirable.
• Basic IT knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and fault-find on Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms.
