Morrison Construction invites applications for an Apprentice Engineer 2027 in Edinburgh with travel to Glasgow, starting Summer 2027. The award-winning Trainee Development Programme offers hands-on experience, technical skill development and fully funded academic support tailored to you.

Join a leading construction firm with a focus on training, safety and career progression within a structured 18‑month development programme, culminating in a graduation event and a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and get involved in key projects.
• Strong communication and a flexible approach to work.
• Eligibility to enrol onto an apprenticeship course and live/work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
• Coordinate site engineering control, setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors.
• General site supervision and management.
• Complete diary sheets with photographic evidence as required.
• Undertake material reconciliations.
• Ensure surveying equipment is calibrated.
• Carry out as-built surveys and drawings.
• Produce 2D & 3D site sketches.
• Maintain quality records and INSPECT/TEST Plans (ITP).
• Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming.
• Control and minimise waste on site.
• Identify and adopt new processes and innovations on site.
