Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is offering a Graduate Apprentice Civil Engineer position in Scotland as part of the 2027 Early Careers programme. You will gain hands-on experience, be mentored by experienced colleagues, and study for a Graduate Apprenticeship in BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering, while rotating across site and office environments.

You’ll work with UKCS – Regional Scotland teams, contributing to substation civils and major infrastructure delivery, with a clear path to professional development.

Qualifications

• Four SQA Highers including Maths required.
• Self-motivated, proactive and eager to start a career.
• Able to learn quickly and work with others.
• Willing to attend university on day release.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of major infrastructure projects on site and in the office.
• Assist with planning, design, and project handover.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop technical, analytical and professional skills through practical experience.
