City of Lincoln Council is recruiting an Apprentice Electrician based at Hamilton House, Lincoln. You will undertake a qualifying electrical apprenticeship with on‑the‑job and off‑the‑job training, supported by a mentor.
Uniform, tools and DBS checks are provided as part of the programme. The role starts at 37 hours per week with a salary between £15,434.28 and £24,521.22, depending on age, and will develop through the City’s Housing Repairs Service.

The Housing Repairs Service (HRS) are looking for two craft apprentices to start in September 2026. HRS carry out repairs to the Council’s housing stock of approximately 7,800 properties and is a fast and vibrant place to work and learn for any apprentice. We are looking to recruit one electrical apprentice and one multi-skilled apprentice. This advert is for the electrical apprentice.
You will be based at our works depot, Hamilton House, and will be assigned a mentor who will guide you through your apprenticeship. Your mentor will teach you how to work with tenants, how to make effective repairs and guide you with your coursework. Uniform and tools will be provided. As part of your qualification, you will be required to attend residential learning centres regularly and actively engage with our training partner, PFP Thrive.
The successful candidate should be eager to learn and progress, whilst being able to provide an effective and quality repairs service to Council tenants.
The starting salary ranges from CDS-CA01 (£15,434.28) to CDS-CA03 (£24,521.22), which will be dependent on the starting age of the successful candidate.

All external candidates are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks and a 6-month probationary period. This role also requires a basic DBS check.
