Job summary

Rodericks Dental Partners on Ilford Lane in Ilford, IG1 2RR, is offering an Apprentice Dental Nurse position. You’ll train towards a Dental Nursing qualification, gain hands-on experience, and work within a supportive team across multiple practices in the UK.

The role involves assisting in sterile preparation, maintaining hygiene, and supporting patients before, during and after treatment while completing course assessments and training sessions. 40 hours per week in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for healthcare and patient care.
• Willingness to learn and commit to qualification.
• GCSEs in English and Maths are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sterilise, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Help keep treatment areas clean and organised to meet hygiene standards.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Complete coursework and assessments as part of your dental nursing qualification.
• Participate fully in training sessions and development activities.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prepare, sterilise, and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Help keep treatment areas clean and organised to meet strict hygiene standards
• Provide reassurance and support to patients before, during, and after treatment
• Complete coursework and assessments as part of your dental nursing qualification

Skills and Attributes We’re Looking For:

• A genuine interest in healthcare and patient care
• Friendly, caring, and approachable personality
• Comfortable working in a clinical environment, including procedures where you may see blood or surgical treatments
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• An understanding that you will be on your feet throughout the day!
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are desirable but not essential – enthusiasm and dedication matter most!
