Job summary

West Quay Dental Practice, Barry, CF62 5QN, is seeking a Qualified/Apprentice Dental Nurse/Receptionist to work 30 hours per week (nursing 22.5h, reception 11.5h on Thursday and Friday). This role supports patient care within Rodericks Dental Partners, a clinically led group dedicated to developing its people.

You’ll assist dentists, prepare instruments, uphold infection control, and handle records and admin.

Qualifications

• Qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a reception role.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a wide range of clinical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials.
• Uphold high standards of infection control and surgery cleanliness.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients throughout their visit.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage administrative tasks.
• Promote and advise patients on oral health and dental care products.
• Play an important role in creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for patients and the team.
