Job summary
Twyver Switchgear in Gloucester is seeking a Junior Contracts Engineer on a Level 4 Apprenticeship to start a career in electrical engineering and project management. You will support project delivery from quotation through to completion, while learning under experienced engineers and completing college-based study.
You will gain practical, hands-on experience, work with suppliers, and develop commercial and technical competence in a structured environment.
Qualifications
- GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade 9-4 or A*-C.
- Level 3 Engineering based qualification with maths-related subjects.
- Willingness to learn and complete Level 4 Apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
- Support project delivery from enquiry to completion.
- Assist with quotations, cost breakdowns and commercial documents.
- Learn project cost management, variations and invoicing.
- Assist with switchgear design using AutoCAD.
- Support procurement activities with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate contract and project documents.
- Attend site visits and meetings to gain practical understanding.
- Communicate with customers under supervision.
- Promote SHEQ standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
