Job summary

Inspiro Learning Limited is seeking an Apprentice Chef for Stubshaw Cross Community and Sports Club. You will assist with preparation, cooking and service of food, while developing kitchen skills under supervision.

The role includes training, on-the-job support and regular progress reviews in a family-friendly venue. You will be 16 or older, not in full-time education, and will complete the L2 Production Chef apprenticeship standard with dedicated trainer sessions, locally or remotely.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 or over and not in full-time education.
• No prior kitchen experience required; full training provided.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food for service.
• Cook and plate food to the club's required standard.
• Follow recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Set up kitchen and dining area before service.
• Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces and equipment.
• Record fridge/freezer temperatures and food safety checks.
• Follow allergen procedures and food-safety guidelines.
