Job summary

Greene King Community Pubs offers an Apprenticeship Chef role where you’ll learn to prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen under expert guidance. You’ll join our Chef Academy and gain hands-on experience while earning a full-time wage.

You will obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths, with support, and have a mentor in the workplace. Regular reviews and masterclasses across cooking areas complete the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths, with support tailored to your needs.
• Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach.
• Mentor support within the workplace throughout the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present food that meets specs and customer expectations.
• Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen.
• Communicate clearly with your team to provide high-quality meals on time.
• Keep up to date with new products, menus, and promotions.
