Job summary

Citywide Services in Salford is offering an Apprentice Assistant Cook role. You will work under the Cook Supervisor to prepare meals, perform simple cooking, serve food, and carry out general duties such as cleaning and washing up.

The apprenticeship lasts about two years with full training, including Level 2 Production Chef, hygiene certificate and Level 2 maths and English (unless exempt). One day per week you will attend Salford College, with potential for a permanent post after completion.

Qualifications

• Full training provided for this role.
• Complete Level 2 Production Chef apprenticeship.
• Hygiene certificate and Level 2 maths & English (unless exempt).
• Overseen by tutor alongside Cook Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and simple cooking.
• Serve meals and clear away.
• Clean, wash up and store equipment.
