Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers plc is offering a full-time Kitchen Apprenticeship for a Production Chef Level 2 over 15 months. The role involves independent operation of kitchen equipment and fast-paced environment in a busy kitchen.

You will train under passionate chefs and gain a nationally recognised qualification while supporting kitchen operations and guest experience. The program includes work-based training, English and Maths Functional Skills, and regular reviews.

Qualifications

• No prior experience is required as training will be provided.
• Applicants must be aged 18 or over to comply with safety requirements.
• This apprenticeship runs for 15 months leading to a Production Chef Level 2 certificate.

Responsibilities

• Communicate openly with the team to deliver outstanding food and service.
• Participate in team meetings and share insights.
• Prepare, cook and present food quickly, safely and to brand standard.
• Address guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Set up and close down the department, including stock rotation and prep.
• Keep up to date with promotions and new products.
• Engage in all training and learning modules.
