Job summary

Longsands Academy in Cambridgeshire is offering an Apprentice Careers Advisor role. The position is 30 hours per week during term time, with a pro rata salary and the opportunity to progress through a fully funded apprenticeship path leading to a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship.

You will work with experienced careers professionals, build employer links, and support students at multiple Astrea schools. The role includes mentoring, events, CV coaching, and travel across the trust.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality guidance and support to students.
• Maintain relationships with employers, universities, training providers and apprenticeship programmes.
• Collaborate with trust colleagues to ensure high-quality careers education and advice.
• Attend events to support students and families.
• Help organise careers events, employer engagement activities, workshops and work experience.
• Support individual students with applications, CVs and next steps for education, training or employment.
• Travel to other Astrea schools in Cambridgeshire as part of development.
