Job summary

Longsands Academy in Cambridgeshire is offering an Apprentice Careers Advisor role. The position is 30 hours per week during term time, with a pro rata salary and the opportunity to progress through a fully funded apprenticeship path leading to a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship.

You will work with experienced careers professionals, build employer links, and support students at multiple Astrea schools. The role includes mentoring, events, CV coaching, and travel across the trust.

Responsibilities

Apprentice Careers Advisor

What You’ll Do
  • Work alongside experienced careers professionals to deliver high-quality guidance and support.
  • Maintain relationships with employers, universities, training providers and apprenticeship programmes.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the trust to ensure every student receives high-quality careers education, information and advice.
  • Attend events such as options evenings, open evenings and results day to support students and families.
  • Help organise careers events, employer engagement activities, workshops and work experience.
  • Support individual students with applications, CVs, and next steps for education, training, or employment.
  • Travel to other Astrea schools in Cambridgeshire as part of your development programme.
