Job summary

Vertu Motors in Gateshead is offering an Accounts Apprenticeship to train as an Accounts Assistant. You will help with sales and purchase ledgers, check and file invoices, and assist with purchase enquiries.

The apprenticeship path leads to an AAT or an Assistant Accountant qualification, with ongoing development and financial training opportunities as part of a major dealer group.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/9 or equivalent.
• IT literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Attention to Detail and Accuracy.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sales ledger and purchase ledger duties, including checking and filing invoices and statements.
• Deal with purchase inquiries and support monthly management accounts production.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, daily banking and cashflow, credit control, and ad-hoc accounting tasks.

Job description

You will be training to become an Accounts Assistant. This role assists with the seamless operation of the accounting and financial procedures within the dealership. In particular assisting with sales ledger and purchase ledger duties such as checking invoices, filing invoices and statements as well as dealing with purchase enquiries. Other duties include assistance in production on monthly management accounts, balance street reconciliations, daily banking's and cashflow, credit control, as well as ad-hoc duties that come up within the accounting functions., You will be working with one of our partners undertaking an AAT or an Assistant Accountant qualification.

• GCSE at level 4/9 or A/C in English, Maths and one other subject


• IT literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft packages


• Attention to Detail and Accuracy


• A positive and enthusiastic attitude
