Job summary

Realise in Stratford-upon-Avon is seeking an Early Years Apprentice to join a supportive team and make a positive impact on children's lives. You will learn on the job while delivering high-quality care in a warm, nurturing environment.

You will spend 20% of your week in training and 80% gaining hands-on experience, supported by mentors and colleagues. You will work toward the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship, with a focus on safeguarding, development, and family engagement.

Qualifications

  • GCSE level education and experience working with children is preferred for a level 3 role.

Responsibilities

  • Support children's daily routines and safety standards.

Job description

As an Early Years Apprentice, you'll be part of a supportive team, learning while making a positive impact in children's lives. You'll:

  • Dedicate 20% of your week to training, with the remainder spent gaining hands-on experience in a vibrant, nurturing environment.
  • Help create a warm, fun, and safe space where children thrive.
  • Engage children in play-based activities inspired by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Support children's developmental milestones and keep parents informed with updates.
  • Assist with daily routines, maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and care.
    GCSE level education and experience working with children is preferred for a level 3 role.

Skills Required

Pretending to eat playdough creations realistically is required, and that of drinking numerous cups of pretend tea You must have the ability to read a ten-page fairy-tale, upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page Having a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to be a large part of your working day Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families; there is simply no other job quite like this one

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day. You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
  • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

Working Week
