Wayve in London is seeking a Manager of Applied Methods Data Science to lead a team of data scientists turning driving data into evals and insights. You will expand impact, hire, and align roadmaps with Autonomy stakeholders while maintaining statistical rigour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience managing a team of 5+ ICs.
• Proven ability to grow high-performing teams.
• Strong DS foundation including causal inference methods.
• Experience turning stakeholder needs into team priorities.
• Experience setting technical direction and reviewing designs.

Responsibilities

• Set and align priorities with stakeholders across Autonomy, and maintain roadmaps.
• Review proposals and designs with leads and engineers, upholding statistical rigour.
• Monitor status and Cadence, surface slippage early, manage trade-offs with customers.
• Grow the team: hire and onboard data scientists, invest in tooling to scale headcount.
• Guide career growth conversations and build progression pathways.
• Build cross-functional relationships to stay close to customers' needs.
