Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced trainer to act as SME for applied AI and workplace AI adoption for Level 3 and 4 learners. You will deliver face-to-face and virtual classroom sessions, and coach learners as they build AI-enabled processes.

You will maintain momentum on milestones, work with employers as a trusted AI skills advisor, and feed back to curriculum teams to evolve the content. A strong background in responsible AI and data governance is valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering training, coaching or facilitation (virtual and/or in-person).
• Practical experience applying AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, automation platforms) in a business context.
• Understanding of AI adoption in business workflows, productivity, service, or operations.
• Strong knowledge of data ethics, responsible AI and information governance.
• Ability to break down complex topics into simple, practical, workplace-ready learning.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and learning-engagement skills.
• Experience delivering apprenticeships or formal training programmes (nice to have).
• Familiarity with project-based learning, portfolios, and workplace coaching (nice to have).
• Knowledge of emerging AI technologies, prompt engineering, and automation tools (nice to have).
• Understanding of Ofsted/ESFA expectations for apprenticeship delivery (nice to have).
• Relevant certifications, e.g. BCS AI Foundation, Microsoft AI, Google AI (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for applied AI and workplace AI adoption for Level 3 and Level 4 AI programme learners.
• Deliver face-to-face and virtual classroom sessions.
• Facilitate hands-on learning with AI tools and real business use cases.
• Coach learners as they build AI-enabled processes and solutions.
• Maintain momentum on programme milestones.
• Work with employers as a trusted AI skills advisor to support productive and responsible AI adoption.
• Feed back to the curriculum team on what is effective and help evolve the curriculum.
• Bring AI concepts to life through case studies and workplace context.
