Job summary

Oscar Technology is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to design and productionise AI-powered features within a modern .NET platform in Nottingham. The role involves integrating LLMs, building RAG pipelines and APIs, and delivering scalable backend services in a hybrid setup with two days in the office.

You will work with Product, Engineering and Data teams to turn cutting-edge AI into reliable software that delivers real commercial value.

Qualifications

• Commercial backend C#/.NET development experience.
• Experience integrating AI/LLMs into production software.
• Understanding of RAG, embeddings, and vector search.
• Experience building scalable cloud-based applications on Azure.
• Genuine interest in Applied AI and solving real-world product problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered features within a modern C#/.NET stack.

Applied AI Engineer (C# .NET) - Nottingham - Hybrid (2 days a week in office) - £80,000

We're working with an ambitious technology company developing intelligent software products used by thousands of customers across the UK and internationally. They're investing heavily in AI and are looking for an Applied AI Engineer to help design, build and productionise AI-powered features within their existing .NET platform. This isn't a research role. You'll be taking cutting-edge AI capabilities and turning them into reliable, scalable software that delivers real commercial value.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop AI-powered features within a modern C#/.NET application stack.
