Job summary

Adecco is hiring an experienced AI Engineer to design and deliver Generative AI solutions for enterprise-scale programs. The role focuses on building RAG systems, AI Agents, and prompt engineering within a hybrid setup in the UK.

The contract runs initially until Dec 2026, offering a day rate of up to £800 inside IR35 via umbrella, with a two-day-per-week on-site presence in Manchester and other cities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered applications using Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Build and optimise Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Develop AI Agents and Agentic workflows to automate business processes.
• Create effective prompts and implement prompt engineering best practices.
• Integrate AI services with enterprise systems via REST APIs.
• Develop scalable solutions using Python and SQL.
• Test, evaluate, and improve AI model performance and reliability.
• Work closely with engineering, data, and business teams to deliver innovative AI solutions.

Requirements

We are hiring an experienced AI Engineer to join a growing team delivering cutting-edge Generative AI solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment. This contract role runs initially until Dec 2026 and offers a day rate of up to £800 inside IR35 via umbrella. We work in a hybrid model with 2 days per week in either Manchester, Leeds, or Edinburgh preferred, with Birmingham and Bristol also considered.
